How To Apply PTFE Tape

Prepare the threads by making sure they are clean and free from obstruction. Place the end of the PTFE tape on the threads and hold in place. | Pull the PTFE tape taut as you begin wrapping the tape around the pipe. Make sure the tape stays tense as you wrap it around the threads. Overlap the PTFE tape slightly as you continue to go around the threads. | Make sure that both the threads connections are tightly wrapped with the PTFE tape firmly against the grooves and ridges. Break tape off the spool once the threads are covered. |
